  • If the cancellation of the ticket is done within 24 hours of flight booking, then the passenger is eligible for a full refund of the ticket.
  • But in case if cancellation is done after 24 hours, a certain amount is charged as cancellation fee which varies according to the type of ticket purchased. The fee needs to be paid during cancellation.
  • The cancellation fee is according to the fare rules of British Airways.
To get the refund for cancellation, a passenger has to follow the British Airways refund policy which is as follows:
  • The refund request is processed through the official website of British Airways.
  • The refund can only be claimed if the airline has changed the aircraft and the passenger has just upgraded the seat and do not want to pay for the new seat in the aircraft.
  • If the British Airways flight is canceled or rescheduled within 48 hours of departure time, there will be an automatic refund for the ticket.
  • In case a passenger does not receive the refund amount within 3 weeks, I can be reported to the customer service.
